We went on our first vacation with Annie to Kiawah Island outside of Charleston, SC. It was a 12 hour car ride. Jack and Annie did great. We went into Charleston one evening for dinner. Annie was a celebrity just like Jack was in China. She had on the cutest dress and was carrying a Life is Good bag. People stopped to talk and comment on her every few steps. Erich was loving life with his little girl. Annie was fearless of the beach and the pool. She has no fear of water (which was kind of scary at times). This is pretty amazing considering two months ago she hated to take a bath.

We went to breakfast one morning. Lionel, the cook, was from Jamaica. He loved Jack's blond hair. Jack helped him make omelets.
