THE END OF OUR 1st SUMMER TOGETHER

Our summer has come to an end. It was a great summer!
Everyone always tells me that time goes so fast when your
kids are little. It really does! They are growing so fast.

I have learned not to worry about keeping the house neat
and orderly (sorry, Erich). What's the point- they just get
all of the toys and messes out again, right! OR always being
on time. Sitting down to read a book or play with Jack and
Annie is so much more important.
I love being a mom!

Double trouble! The quilt in the background is the one my
friend, Melissa, organized while we were in China. It is
amazing!! The scrapbook is equally amazing!
Annie's August picture
She finally likes to sit and read books. I was starting to
get worried!!!!!
Jack's August picture
Jack has always loved books.
He can sit and read with me for an hour.
We went swimming and paddled on the boat at Tall Timbers.

Jack and Annie play in the sandbox with their friend, Lucy!
Jack, Reagan, Lucy and Annie are lined up to have running
races. Annie keeps right up with everyone! We do not have to
worry about Annie holding her own!

Jack rides Nanny bareback and thinks it is so funny!
Annie is our horse girl. Again, she is not going
to be left out. She is going to ride bareback, too!
It is very difficult to get her off of the horse.

Christine cuts Jack's hair while he sucks on
her spray bottle. He loves to sit and get his
haircut.

Annie is ready for a haircut, too! Christine put
some gel in her hair.
I interrupt the posting of this blog with some
very important news. . .
Annie just woke up from her nap (much too soon
I might add) and said, "Poop" as she was pointing
to her bottom. We went in and sat on the potty. Jack
was kneeling beside us. He got tired of waiting and
flushed the toilet a half a dozen times. He turned on
the bathtub water. He even ran and got Annie one of
his binkies! She put it in her mouth. I know she was
thinking, "What's the big deal about these Binkies!"
When all of a sudden (20 minutes later) she pooped!
We all started screaming, yelling and dancing around.
We sent a text to daddy and he rushed home. We even
called Grandma Jane.
See the joys of motherhood! AND fatherhood!

Gigi gives Jack and Annie some Amish bread that she made.
Jack and Annie use sticks to rake Uncle Bill's leaves.
Jack watches Cousin Nick in the Dover Band. It was exciting!
It only took two hours to post this- nothing is quick anymore!
