MR. & MRS. INDEPENDENT

We went to Cherry Valley Lodge and Coco Key Water Park. The kids had a great time sliding down the slides. Erich and I were amazed at how independent Jack and Annie have become. They took off and started sliding down all of the slides without hesitation. It made us sad to see them growing up so fast!

This video show Jack and Annie's independence. Bear with me because it was my first time videoing with my camera. It is a minute long but the ending is priceless. A hug that comes out of nowhere. Priceless!!!

Jack and Annie race down the slides.

Annie would go all of the way under, pop up and swim. The lifeguards would rush over to her until they realized that she was just swimming. One lifeguard was amazed how well she swims. She is not afraid to put her head in the water and go.

Going to sleep was a challenge. They were so excited but we won at the end of the day, sleeping peacefully!!

We went shopping at Polaris Mall. Annie spotted sunglasses and we had to get a pair. She said it was too bright!

Polaris has a fun play area. However, our New Towne Mall blows it out of the water:)

Later we swam in the hotel pool with our new goggles and trusty water wings.

Annie wanted goggles so badly. She would stare at the big girls in their goggles. She actually went up to one big girl and ask if she could wear her goggles. Needless to say the big girl ignored her. Annie was crushed. So, we found her a pair and, of course, a pair for Jack.

Did you know that The Columbus zoo is open 365 days a year? We didn't either but it was a lot of fun even in the 20 degree weather. We bundled up and off we went.

Jack and Annie loved the elephants the best. We had our own private viewing. Annie thought it was great when they turned on a shower for the elephants. It was so fun to watch.

The Manatee exhibit is amazing. We even happen to be there during feeding time. We watched them feed the manatees lettuce.

Jack and Annie were watching the fish being fed broccoli or trees as they call them.
We spent the most time watching the gorillas. We didn't take pictures because they were right up at the glass and very active. Two baby gorillas spent a lot of time chasing each other. AND the most impressive activity was an older gorilla eating his poop. Yep you read it right!!! Jack said, "Disgusting!" It left quite an impression on Jack and Annie. They are still talking about it and giggling the whole time.

They love each other (sometimes)!
