SATURDAY full of FUN!!!

We had a fun Saturday! We started out the morning at The Algonquin Mill Festival eating a pancake and sausage breakfast. It was a crisp day but so beautiful. Annie shows off her sand art. Jack made one for Grandpa Bob's birthday.
Jack tries out the train shuttle cart.

We had to get Grandpa Bob his favorite thing: honeycomb. Jack and Annie had honey straws. The sawmill was the favorite spot. They would have stood there all day. Luckily, the lunch bell rang and it shut down for an hour.

How would you like wooden shingles on your house?

Jack was in his glory "hitting" the pegs.

The horse made the machine move to make sorghum.

This man was carving a bear with a chainsaw. It was unbelievable. You should have seen Jack's eyes.

Jack can't make a trip to Carrollton without stopping at his favorite store in the whole world, Bud's Farm Toys. He used a gift certificate from his birthday. He was so excited!

Annie found a piggy bank to paint at Bud's Farm Toys. She is trying to decide if she should give it to Grandpa Bob for his birthday. I think she likes it a little too much for herself. We will see what Grandpa ends up getting?

taking a little rest in their "fort"

We ended the night with a walk in The Enchanted Forest at The Wilderness Center. The Forest was full of interesting facts about dirt and nocturnal animals.
It was a fun Saturday!
