AUGUST FULL OF FUN!!

We had an exciting August packed full of fun. Swimming was still the highlight of our days. Annie is almost ready to swim by herself WITHOUT water wings. She does swim without them on the steps and a few strokes to the side. She puts her head right under, kicks her legs and tries to move her arms. If you see her doing this for the first time you think she is drowning, however she is a fearless fish. Attached are a few pictures of our fun filled August.

picking blackberries at Lucy's house
Jack gets so excited. He loves to eat them right off the vine.

Suhad returned to Iraq at the end of August. She had a successful double hip replacement. She also learned to speak English very well over the past four months. She loved Jack and Annie and will take many pictures of them to Iraq with her. Jack and Annie loved her, too!

Annie jumps into the deep end of the pool.

Annie hugged Gigi and said, "I love you!"

We had to stop and see "Bessie" the asphalt layer. We drove by her for a solid week and finally on our way home from Gigi's house we stopped and stared. We had taken a bath at Gigi's and were ready for bed in our pjs. Jack and Annie were so intrigued with "Bessie". Bessie is from the movie, Cars. They could not believe that "Bessie" was REAL!!! I'm sure people driving by thought we were crazy. We probably stood there for 20 minutes just staring!

Annie swims with her cousin, Anna. She loves Anna.

We went to the beach for a few days with our friends Nancy and Lili.

Of course, when we go to the beach our cousin Jacelyn always comes to visit. This time she had a new fan named Lili! Lili loved Jace.

"Hey, Look at me!"

Do you know how much fun you can have with a cheap plastic tanker truck? It is really fun to sleep with too. How much sand do you think was in Jack and mommy's bed????

Annie loves the beach.

Jack, Annie and Lili played so well together. As long as Jack wasn't trying to steal their buckets!

We had a Community Impact Day at church. The kids helped bake and deliver cookies to the fire stations in the area. The firemen were just as excited as the kids.

Nickel day at the park

Jack's new style- wearing his hat backwards, just like daddy!
We are looking forward to a great September.
