A LITTLE GEOGRAPHY LESSON
A little geography for you- and as my friend, Cindy, would say, "If you're not interested in geography, don't bother with this paragraph!" We left Chicago and went north, yes north, not east, not west. We flew to Canada over The Hudson Bay THEN headed west over The Gulf of Boothia and to the north of The Queen of Elizabeth Islands. It was very cold (-81F) and arctic looking outside, just a lot of frozen land and waters. Jack really wasn't interested so he closed the blinds, pinched his fingers and went to sleep. We went north of Anchorage over The Arctic and Pacific oceans then northwest of Siberia, Russia. We flew between The Patom and Aldan Plateaus and west of Japan and Korea. (Sorry, I fell asleep in between here.) A couple of hours before landing we flew between Shanghai and Chongqing (where Lili was born) and on to Hong Kong. It looked like our plane was going to land in the South China Sea but all of a sudden there was a runway on the edge. We even arrived 20 minutes early!! By the way, Bobby A. it was daylight the entire flight! We traveled 7994 miles, 35,000 feet and 517 miles per hour. Goodnight!!

WOOHOO!!! Great to hear that you guys are safe and sound in Hong Kong and that Jack was a real trooper on the plane! He is such a little angel. So you guys are like celebrities there in HK, huh? The tall Americans with their blonde haired boy! Soon you'll be on billboards all over Asia! =) Anyway, I am so glad you were able to get on and blog for all of us blog addicts. We are making your life difficult, aren't we? DON'T SLEEP KARI JUST BLOG. I do hope you are getting some well-deserved rest now and that you get to Disney on Thursday. We spent the morning at Tammy D's house playing with Nico and Reagan so Lucy is snoozing away. She is happy to hear that those girls on the plane meant nothing to Jack and that he still likes her. She sends lots of HUGS to him. Well, gotta get on my treadmill (yes, I got it yesterday). Thanks for posting and please know that we are all thinking of you and praying for you. Give our best to Erich and your parents too.

Glad you made it and thanks for the update! We will be there soon, we are getting ready to go drop off Bogey to my brothers...boo-hoo! I swear he knows something is up.
We are leaving early tomorrow the airline has Craig sitting in row 61 and me in row 33 and they could not fix it over the phone so we will hope they can change when we get there!

Hi Bichsel family. We are so happy to hear that you had a safe flight. Ian says he still thinks you named the kids after the Treehouse books....LOL Hope Jack remembers how much of a star he is right now. Enjoy your time in HK. We will be waiting for the next update and lots of pictures!

I've only checked the blog here like 5 times since I woke up. Not to put any pressure on you or anything. =) I hope you guys had a great Thursday and that you were able to get some rest Wednesday night.
