Peaceful nap
WalMart escalator
James, our special guideFish for dinner, anyone???
Hi Again!! First of all, I left out a g in the e-mail link. It is http://www.bringinganniehome.blogspot.com/ Thanks Tammy and Max for catching this. We want to get all of your e-mails. However, my friend, Melissa did e-mail me all of the comments from the blog. Thank you so much! They brought tears to our eyes, again!!! It is frustrating not being able to see the blog. I am unable to tell how pictures were posted or the final format, so bear with me. Feel free to continue posting on the blog, I know Melissa will continue sending the comments. :)
Well, WalMart was an experience. The bus ride there was something. There is so much traffic-cars, buses, bikes, motorcycles, pedestrians. Nothing like Hong Kong. We are in the "real"China. It rained all day today, hard, so I will take pictures tomorrow. It is surreal! WalMart looks like a department store. It is so big that it is on four floors . It is right next to a KFC. There is an escalator that you take your cart up and down. The wheels are magnetic. Jack was quite an attraction. Erich is calling him a chick magnet. The locals tell us they have never seen "yellow hair". James our guide and best friend (he translates) wanted to put a note on Jack's back that said,"Do not touch hair!" We told him we like the people. They are so friendly and just curious. There are some locals that speak broken English- Chinglish. Others speak to us in Chinese. We just smile and nod. We then went to an authentic Chinese Restaurant. It was so good. James ordered everything for us. It was only $4.00 per person, unbelievable! When we entered the restaurant we attracted another crowd. We feel like celebrities. Jack walked in blowing kisses to the ladies in the red jackets. ( in the picture) We then took a picture in front of the huge live fish tank. It is was cool.
Everyone is sleeping peacefully right now. It was a little rough for about 30 minutes before bed time. Annie is not thrilled with her bath and to top it off the electricity went out just as we got her in the tub. It was a little stressful. She then set off Jack and we had a screaming match. I think Annie wins. She really knows how to cry. We have never heard Jack cry more than 2 minutes at a time. I think we will after this trip, though. Erich and I are working like a real team. I'm actually going to get to bed early it is only 10:00. Until tomorrow. . . Love, Kari

Let's see, the little guy is sleeping face down in a sort of face plant and the little girl is sleeping beautifully on her back. Can anyone say Mommy and Daddy? We are so happy for all of you. And its's very cool to be kept up to date. We love you all very much and I'm not really crying.
We are so excited for you. Blessings all around! Such lovely children!

Just wanted to send a note of congratulations off to you guys. What an awesome looking family. What an adventure you have already had in less than a week. Annie is adorable, and of course Jack is so cute. Enjoy the rest of your time there. Thanks for all of the updates. We are so very happy for you guys.

When we were in Guiyang I couldn't see the pictures or the final blog either...that's when I posted Katrina's butt. Someday she may not thank me for that. We are having a great time watching and reading.

Hey Kari, looks like everyone is bonding. Jack sure shows a love for his baby sister. The pictures of Erich with his children in his arms just scream "proud papa". I just get goose bumps when I see all the pics. Even Eric is going on your blog to get the updates even before I get a chance to. I ask Reagan where Jack go she says "on pwane" "get baby Annie". We are praying for you and everyone. What a blessing!!!!!! Can't wait to have play dates. See you soon
Much love,
Tammy
